ANDREW'S PLATFORM
"I’m running for Sheriff to ensure Kane County continues to be served by an agency that is fair, focused, and forward-thinking. After over a decade with the Sheriff’s Office, I’ve seen the difference strong, principled leadership can make. I believe in doing the job the right way, for the right reasons, and I’m ready to lead with that mindset every day."

LIST OF PRIORITIES
Strengthening Community Partnerships
Strong communities are built on trust, communication, and collaboration. As Sheriff, I will continue the work of Sheriff Ron Hain, and build on the relationship between the Sheriff’s Office and the people we serve by being present, approachable, and engaged.
This means:
-
Hosting regular town halls and listening sessions, both in person and virtually.
-
Continuing to partner with schools, local organizations, and neighborhood leaders to address unique community needs.
-
Supporting and expanding the role of School Resource Officers to build trust and identify issues early.
-
Expanding current opportunities for deputies to engage with residents outside of emergency situations.
Law enforcement doesn’t work in a vacuum. Real safety comes from strong partnerships, and that starts with listening and showing up.

Fostering Unity, Deepening Trust
Public trust is the foundation of effective law enforcement, and it must be earned every day. Sheriff Hain has earned that trust, and now it's my turn.
As Sheriff, I will lead an agency that treats every person with fairness, respect, and dignity. I will work to build unity between law enforcement and the diverse communities we serve by focusing on transparency, consistency, and accountability.
My approach includes:
-
Ensuring every deputy understands the importance of procedural justice and fair treatment.
-
Responding openly to community concerns and taking complaints seriously.
-
Continue to foster a culture where doing the right thing is expected and supported at every level.
-
Leading by example, with honesty and humility.
Trust grows when people feel seen, heard, and respected. As your Sheriff, I’ll make sure our agency reflects the values of the people we serve.
Fairness, Transparency, Integrity
These aren’t just words—they’re the standards I’ve held myself to throughout my career, and they’ll guide every decision I make as Sheriff.
Fairness means treating everyone; victims, suspects, and deputies alike, with consistency and respect.
Transparency means communicating honestly with the public, especially when things go wrong.
Integrity means doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
As Sheriff, I will:
-
Uphold the highest ethical standards across the agency.
-
Promote open communication with the public and media.
-
Ensure internal accountability systems are strong, fair, and responsive.
-
Lead by example and expect the same from every member of the Sheriff’s Office.
The public’s trust must be earned and protected. That starts with fair leadership rooted in integrity.
Guided by Experience, Focused on Progress
With over 13 years in law enforcement, including leadership roles in patrol, investigations, court operations, and union representation, I’ve seen how an engaged Sheriff can change the culture of the agency.
I bring a hands-on understanding of the job, the challenges our deputies face, and the needs of the people we serve. But experience alone isn’t enough; we must also be willing to evolve.
As Sheriff, I’ll use that experience to:
-
Continue our trajectory of being the most technologically advanced agency in the area, with modernized operations and streamlined procedures.
-
Strengthen partnerships with mental health providers, schools, and other community services.
-
Encourage a forward-thinking agency that adapts to changing needs, without losing sight of core values already in place.
-
Support ongoing training that prepares deputies for today’s complex public safety landscape.
I’m not running to maintain the status quo. I’m running to continue to move Kane County forward, guided by real experience, a solid foundation built by the current Sheriff, and a clear focus on the future.
Fiscal accountability, Budget Discipline
Taxpayers deserve a Sheriff’s Office that protects their safety and their dollars.
As Sheriff, I will be a careful steward of public funds, ensuring that every dollar spent is tied to real results. That means focusing on efficiency, eliminating waste, and always looking for ways to do more with what we have.
My commitment includes:
-
Working closely with the County Board to align spending with community priorities.
-
Seeking outside funding and grants to supplement our budget without increasing the burden on taxpayers.
-
Prioritizing front-line services and critical equipment, not bureaucracy or politics.
-
Using data and performance measures to ensure programs and personnel are delivering value.
You can count on me to lead with both discipline and transparency because responsible budgeting is part of responsible leadership.
